Kurt believes that finding balance in all aspects of life is fundamental to achieving overall good health and happiness. As a West Point graduate, Kurt understood the value of discipline and healthy routines. Regardless, a stressful job and career took over and he suddenly found himself 65 pounds overweight. After struggling for several years, he finally lost the weight, and has adopted a healthy lifestyle that includes proper nutrition and exercise.
Kurt’s personal struggles with weight loss and “yo-yo dieting” make Kurt an empathetic and relatable coach and he loves sharing his story with clients. He credits his transformation to not only finding the right mix of diet and exercise but also addressing his behavior patterns and habits. Kurt enthusiastically shares his knowledge and experience with others and enjoys helping clients become the best version of themselves.
Kurt loves to learn and is an avid reader. His dedication to fitness which includes daily workouts is also impressive. When Kurt isn’t at EMP180° you will find him hiking, canoeing, fishing and spending time with his wife and dog “Buddy”. Kurt also enjoys relaxing so you may a find him at the pool with a good book or cheering on his beloved Army team or West Virginia from his couch.
