Tselote is a passionate health coach who values the importance of the mind- body connection to weight loss and overall well- being. She utilizes a science- based approach to nutrition and mindfulness to empower her clients to eat healthy and handle life’s stressors. Above all, Tselote preaches compassion. She believes with a healthy dose of self-love, everyone can follow their intuition to fuel their bodies with the right types of food.
Tselote received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. After college, she worked as an Emergency Patient Care Technician with a goal to become a Physician’s Assistant. While working in the ER, she began to appreciate the role that proper nutrition can play in treating and preventing chronic disease. She also overcame personal challenges with food intolerance, digestive disorders and anxiety by adopting a healthy lifestyle which includes whole unprocessed foods as well as a daily meditation practice. After experiencing the life altering impact of nutrition and mindfulness firsthand, Tselote decided to travel abroad to Australia where she eventually received her Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Queensland.
As a health coach at EMP180, Tselote works to address the physical and mental aspects of healthy eating. She equips her clients with up to date nutritional knowledge which allows them to make informed food choices. Tselote also works to improve her clients’ relationship with food through self-awareness and mindful eating.
In her free time, you can find Tselote listening to podcasts, like the Rich Roll podcast, experiencing nature and spending time with loved ones.
