Why EMP Clients Have Succeeded When So Many Others Have Failed
Over the past year, the importance of human connection has never been more apparent.
The pandemic has had a significant impact not only on our physical health, but also on our emotional well-being. Anxiety, frustration, depression, and isolation are common themes; stress eating, alcohol consumption and overall obesity rates are on the rise. While many people have succumbed to the “Covid-15”, EMP clients are taking control of their health and adopting healthy habits – learning to not only survive during the pandemic but thrive.
Throughout the pandemic, the coaches at EMP 180° have listened and acknowledged clients’ struggles and have consistently gone the extra mile to provide them with the support and motivation required to make real progress on their health journey. What used to be a 15-minute coaching session has turned into a 30 minute conversation, and the clients are more appreciative than ever of those interactions and the regular touchpoints with their dedicated coaches.
EMP coaches always explain the “why” behind their recommendations and provide informational articles or podcast episodes as a follow-up to coaching conversations. They discuss topics ranging from the importance of hydration and how to combat insulin resistance to the health benefits of olive oil and the importance of muscle as we age. Being equipped with knowledge ensures that clients are able to make their new habits sustainable and part of their long-term lifestyle management strategy.
While working from home has made many of us more sedentary than usual, working with a health coach has given EMP clients the motivation they need to incorporate more movement into their days. Coaches have encouraged accountability around work breaks, and recommended at-home workouts plus activity tracking devices and tips for spending more time outdoors. They’ve been attuned to the importance of habit-building, encouraging clients to start with small but meaningful steps and remain consistent as they establish routines.
As restaurants closed and people began cooking at home more often, EMP coaches provided tips and recipes and encouraged more creativity in the kitchen. They also created shopping lists and offered suggestions for healthy takeout options and simple pre-packaged meals. Clients feel more confident making healthy choices knowing that their meals will taste great, too.
We are often asked “What makes EMP different?” The answer is simple, our people, their commitment, and the connection we have with our clients. Never has that connection been more important – and more strong – than during the past year of the pandemic.
